Senior Software Engineer (Node.js)

You’ll work alongside technical leads, senior stakeholders, product managers and other engineers to develop Node.js applications, APIs, microservices and serverless solutions. You’ll play a key role in technical delivery, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with security and engineering best practices., * Hybrid working from Westminster or Leeds

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer looking to work on modern digital services, solve complex technical challenges and contribute to large-scale transformation within a high-profile UK public-sector environment.

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js
• Experience with Express.js and/or Nest.js
• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript development skills
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs
• Experience with microservices and serverless applications
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of application scalability, security and maintainability
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Experience integrating applications with third-party systems, APIs and webhooks
• Strong understanding of secure software development and data protection
• Agile / user-centred development experience
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, product teams and engineers
• SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance
