Electronics and System Integration Engineer H/F

Every quantum computer we build depends on getting the physical foundations right - and that’s where you come in.

In a context of rapid scale-up of Alice & Bob’s quantum computing hardware, you’ll be the key link that brings together the many sub-components, instruments, cabling, racks, and custom electronics into reliable, production-ready systems. Reporting to the HERMES Team Lead, our electronics and systems integration team, you’ll work closely with physicists, RF engineers, and mechanical engineers to design scalable rack and wiring architectures, reduce system footprint through custom PCB design, and bring innovative integration solutions that keep pace with the team’s growing installation needs.

Responsabilities

• Design and integrate electronics systems for our quantum computing set-ups, including custom PCBs, robust rack and cryostat assemblies, and the tooling needed to support implementation
• Integrate equipment into racks and cryostats, manage wiring across instruments, and drive the scale-up of installations across the team’s scope
• Design and run validation tests, analyze results, and troubleshoot issues across mechanical, electronic, and control-electronics systems
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with equipment and component suppliers, keeping an eye on state-of-the-art instrumentation
• Work closely with physicists, RF and mechanical engineers to define hardware architectures, and document your work along the way

• Engineering degree (or equivalent) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years in electronics design and system integration, ideally including PCB design and lab/instrumentation environments
• Strong hands-on skills across electronics design (analog/RF/DC), PCB design tools (KiCad/Altium), cabling and rack integration, and lab instrumentation (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes)
• Comfortable with Python scripting for tooling, testing, or automation
• A pragmatic troubleshooting mindset and a knack for inventing simpler, more scalable integration solutions
• Sourcing and supplier management skills, and strong documentation and cross-team communication

• Proficient in English, French is a big plus Nice to have

• Knowledge of digital electronics or GPU integration
