Our product Dealflow is a next-generation invoicing platform that empowers online SMBS to send and pay invoices.

Translate technical requirements into detailed backend designs that creates tier 1 scalable systems and a joyful experience for the customer.

1. Be responsible for driving innovation, maintainability, improving performance, scalability, and creating headless systems under strict timelines.
2. Lead backend engineering and solve complex problems such as:

• Ensuring optimal schema design, 100% uptime and high-end security.
• Credit scoring system * what’s the best way to gamify the credit scoring experience for our customers while ensuring a high ROI on lending bets?
• Invoice matching algorithm * what’s the optimal way to match invoices to deposits accurately at scale when we lack information?
• Payment orchestration * how can we best optimise our payment orchestration to lower our costs and increase our margins?
• Analytics system * how can we set up an analytics system that tracks all relevant numbers?

1. Integrate our technology with the following external systems:

• Payment processors like Stripe.
• Open banking platforms like Plaid.
• Accounting systems like QuickBooks and Economic

• Flexible working hours: We use meetings when needed and not per default.

How will we assess things?

We care about dialogue. In many cases, we might learn more about you from the questions you ask us, than we do from the questions we ask you.

Our steps:

1. Initial interview with Seb (30 - 45 minutes): Let’s talk about what makes you, you, and technical your accomplishments so far.
2. Technical challenge. We want to see how you approach a diffif problem.
3. Final interview with Seb (1h)
4. Reference call withs your (former) colleagues. At the same time you’ll get to talk to one of our investors and one of our advisors. There you can ask any question.

You should be a tech-savvy and highly intelligent professional, experienced with automation and an obsession for details. Learning fast is your superpower, you are or have been a “nerd” and you love the entire problem-solution process from problem identification to solution discovery and implementation.

Experience in AWS ecosystem (4+ years) 4. Experience with banking integrations (1+ years). Not required but valued. 5. Experience with accounting integrations (1+ years). Not required but valued. 6. Experience with payment gateways and processors like Stripe (1+ years) 7. Experience with backend development and different technologies (MQ’s, cache’s, architectural patterns, etc..) 8. Experience with writing tests (Unit / Integration / Performance) 9. Hands on with performance and optimisation problems and demonstrated ability to diagnose and prevent these problems. 10. Extreme attention to detail, obsession for scalable systems 11. Hands-on with CI/CD 12. We use GitHub Actions, AWS code deploy 13. Working knowledge of cyber security 14. Experience with postman

• Salary: Starting at €5000 / month. Includes serious warrants 1 - 7%, depending on the match. Clear timeline to promotion / cash and equity bonuses.
