Broadcast Network Operator

• Conducts daily checking of traffic logs and automation playlists for issues or errors.
• Conducts daily monitoring of radio and TV transmission systems, addressing any outages.
• Provides quality control and FCC compliance (captions/dialnorm) service for all radio and TV signals leaving station.
• Monitors network health systems and escalating issues to IT or Engineering when discovered.
• Keeping daily logs of technology issues and FCC compliance information.
• Monitors TV and radio ingest and playout systems.
• Quality control assessment and correction of audio and video signals throughout the plant.
• Coordinates with content creation departments when issues with submitted media are discovered to correct issues.
• Provides technical disaster recovery support services as needed.
• Assist engineering and IT staff with tasks as assigned as needed.

Position Highlights AZPM is looking for a part time candidate to join the broadcast and network operations team. This role is key to monitoring all incoming and outgoing Radio, TV and IP transmissions. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, an understanding of signal flow and quality motioning of signals and content in a 24x7 broadcast or network environment. Knowledge of FCC regulation and IT best practices is preferred. Experience with broadcast traffic and automation systems or network operations centers is important., * Ability to sit and monitor multiple signals and stations in a NOC environment.

• Knowledge of digital audio and audio mixing or playback systems.
• Knowledge of media file monitoring or transcoding systems.
• Knowledge of broadcast television and or radio standards and FCC requirements.
• Knowledge of broadcast or communications remote control systems.
• Must be detail oriented and quality control minded with the ability to multitask.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of relevant work experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a 24x7 broadcast or network control center.
• Experience with IP and network monitoring tools/Network storage knowledge.
• Experience in content or data systems monitoring and or traffic systems.
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible working schedule including work days or evenings.
