Construction Manager - Healthcare in Wilmington

Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Construction Manager on behalf of our client to lead the on-site execution of large-scale commercial construction projects. This role serves as the primary field leader responsible for safety, schedule, subcontractor coordination, and quality control., n \n

• Serve as the on-site safety leader, implementing the Site-Specific Safety Plan and managing all jobsite safety protocols \n

• Coordinate and oversee all subcontractor work, ensuring full compliance with contracts and the project schedule \n

• Create and maintain the Project Schedule, including logic updates, recovery planning, and pull planning sessions \n

• Supervise site quality assurance, enforce project cleanliness and professionalism standards, and manage daily logistics \n

• Lead and attend all necessary inspections with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), third-party inspectors, and clients \n

• Ensure coordination of installation between trades to maintain schedule integrity and avoid scope conflicts \n

• Collaborate with internal field leadership to apply best practices and drive jobsite efficiency \n

• Track and submit Daily Reports that document progress, subcontractor performance, and schedule updates \n

• Oversee submittals, material procurement, and on-time delivery of all construction components \n

• Implement and maintain the Project Quality Assurance Plan; verify that all work meets specifications and standards \n

• Attend and report on project health during meetings with Project Managers and Executive Leadership \n

• Monitor progress toward energy savings targets in partnership with Measurement & Verification (M&V) and Engineering teams \n

• Coordinate existing condition assessments and interface with facility personnel regarding field-related issues \n

• Support commissioning and start-up activities to meet project and company standards \n

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction projects valued at $10M+, ideally in higher education or healthcare settings \n

• Proven leadership experience managing subcontractors and site teams \n

• Proficiency with Procore, Primavera, and Microsoft Office Suite \n

• Experience with Pull Planning and Last Planner System \n

• Strong understanding of field safety, scheduling, quality control, and trade coordination \n, * Must be able to climb stairs, lift up to 20 pounds, and remain standing or seated for extended periods
