Senior Java Full Stack Engineer

As a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and implementing scalable enterprise applications that support critical business initiatives. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, product managers, business stakeholders, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software solutions that drive business value., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React JS, JavaScript, SQL, and Azure technologies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and deliver business-critical applications.
• Develop and support microservices-based architectures and event-driven systems that enable high-performance and resilient applications.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs, database solutions, and application integrations to support enterprise platforms.
• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance to team members, and promote engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues and implement performance tuning and optimization strategies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure application security, data protection, and adherence to enterprise development standards.

• 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
• Experience building scalable, highly available, and distributed enterprise applications.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, Kafka, messaging frameworks, and microservices best practices.
• Experience with React JS, JavaScript, and modern front-end development practices.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.

These Will Help You Stand Out

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and cloud-native application development.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployment frameworks.
• Experience working within Banking and Financial Services environments.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to engineering excellence initiatives.

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 - $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
