Azure DevOps Engineer

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to support a large-scale Azure infrastructure modernization and remediation initiative. This individual will help improve cloud security, resiliency, disaster recovery, governance, and operational excellence across a complex enterprise Azure environment.

The ideal candidate has deep Azure infrastructure expertise, strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience, and a proven track record designing, securing, and modernizing enterprise-scale cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead Azure infrastructure remediation and modernization efforts across multiple cloud platforms and services

• Design and implement highly available, secure, and resilient Azure architectures

• Improve disaster recovery capabilities, business continuity processes, and multi-region failover strategies

• Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, and CI/CD pipelines

• Strengthen Azure security posture through RBAC, Azure Policy, Managed Identities, Private Endpoints, network segmentation, and governance best practices

• Configure and optimize Azure networking components, including load balancers, application gateways, virtual networks, and private connectivity

• Secure and optimize Azure services such as API Management, Storage Accounts, Service Bus, and Key Vault

• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights

• Develop technical documentation, operational runbooks, architecture diagrams, and support procedures

• Partner closely with Infrastructure, Security, Development, and Operations teams while providing knowledge transfer to internal staff

5+ years of Azure infrastructure engineering or cloud administration experience

• 3+ years of Azure DevOps experience

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale, production Azure environments

• Strong experience with:

o Terraform

o Bicep

o ARM Templates

o Azure DevOps Pipelines

o GitHub Actions

• Expertise in Azure security, including:

o Azure Policy

o RBAC

o Managed Identities

o Private Endpoints

o Microsoft Defender for Cloud

• Experience with:

o Azure Monitor

o Log Analytics

o Application Insights

o Automation Runbooks

o Incident response and operational support

• Hands-on experience implementing disaster recovery, failover testing, and high-availability Azure solutions - Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification

• Azure DevOps Engineer Expert Certification

• Terraform Certification

• Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments

• Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC, or similar compliance frameworks

• Experience remediating Azure Well-Architected Framework findings

• Experience modernizing legacy Azure environments

• CyberArk integration experience
