IAM Engineer

Insight Global is seeking an IAM Engineer to join one of our top utility clients in the Midwest. This individual will support enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives focused on identity governance, user lifecycle management, privileged access management, and authentication services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ, SSO/SAML, ADFS, PAM/PIM, and supporting IAM solutions across both Windows and Linux environments.

This role will partner closely with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Application teams to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot IAM solutions that enhance security while improving the user experience.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Install, configure, integrate, and support IAM solutions across the enterprise.

• Manage user lifecycle processes including provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews, and role management.

• Support and maintain SailPoint IdentityIQ and related identity governance technologies.

• Configure and troubleshoot Single Sign-On (SSO), SAML, ADFS, and federation services.

• Administer and support Privileged Access Management (PAM/PIM) platforms and privileged account controls.

• Troubleshoot issues involving password rotation, account onboarding, authentication, and directory integrations.

• Integrate IAM solutions with Active Directory, LDAP, cloud platforms, and third-party applications.

• Support Microsoft Entra ID services including MFA, Conditional Access, and identity governance capabilities.

• Develop and execute testing plans for IAM implementations, enhancements, and upgrades.

• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to strengthen identity-based security controls and compliance initiatives.

• 2+ years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on Identity and Access Management.

• Hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ.

• Experience supporting SSO, SAML, and ADFS authentication technologies.

• Experience administering or supporting PAM/PIM solutions.

• Experience working in both Windows and Linux/Unix environments.

• Experience with IIS, Active Directory, LDAP, and identity integrations.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * 3-5+ years of cybersecurity or IAM experience.

• Domain Administration experience.

• Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, MFA, and identity governance.

• Experience with AD, LDAP, JDBC, REST, SOAP, or other identity connectors.

• Experience with BeyondTrust, One Identity, CyberArk, or similar IAM/PAM platforms.

• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, C#, or .NET.

• Experience with RBAC and Identity Governance frameworks.

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP, GICSP, or related credentials.

• Cloud experience within Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.
