SAP S/4HANA Finance Transformation & Process Excellence Lead

About the role: This role serves as a subject matter expert supporting Boston Scientific’s global SAP S/4HANA transformation program. This role partners closely with Service Delivery, Global Process Leads, Local Finance, Digital/IT teams, and the Magellan Program to drive deployment readiness, process standardization, issue resolution, and continuous improvement across Finance operations.

The role applies strong accounting and SAP expertise to ensure successful implementation and sustainment of global business processes while advancing standardization, automation, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support SAP S/4HANA deployments from design through hypercare by conducting fit-gap assessments and gathering, validating, and prioritizing business requirements.

• Partner with deployment teams and represent GBS ATR in solution design discussions to ensure process and business readiness.

• Drive adoption of global standard processes and controls while identifying opportunities to simplify and close process gaps in S4.

• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and deployment playbooks, and promote best practices across entities and regions.

• Develop and execute business test scenarios and coordinate user acceptance testing activities.

• Validate system functionality against business requirements and partner with technical teams to investigate and resolve testing defects.

• Develop training materials and job aids, and deliver training to GBS ATR users.

• Drive stakeholder engagement and business readiness, serving as a trusted advisor throughout deployment and hypercare.

• Analyze deployment issues and operational defects, serving as the escalation point for complex process and system matters.

• Coordinate resolution efforts across Magellan, IT, and Service Delivery teams, monitoring issue logs and driving timely closure of assigned actions.

• Identify and implement automation and process-efficiency opportunities using SAP S/4HANA capabilities to reduce manual effort.

• Prioritize enhancement requests and drive sustainable solutions across global Finance operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance operations

• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting processes

• SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA experience.

• Experience supporting ERP implementations or large-scale transformations is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and geographic regions

• Strong verbal & written communication skills and focus on building relationships

• Self-motivated yet team player and takes ownership in all responsibilities

• Continuous Improvement and analytical mindset

• Fluent in English, additional language capabilities are a plus
