Data Analyst

The Junior Data Analyst supports the Commercial team with data preparation, reporting and analysis across multiple departments and functions, including procurement, fleet and workforce.

This is a newly created position within a growing commercial team, reflecting the expanding scope of analytical and reporting activity across the business. There is genuine opportunity for progression for the right candidate, with exposure to a broad range of commercial workstreams and the potential to take on greater responsibility as the team develops.

The role is primarily remote. The team comes together in person at head office on a quarterly basis, and there may be occasional travel to sites across the UK depending on the projects being worked on at the time.

Tasks include, but not limited to

Cleanse, validate and prepare data from supplier spend, fleet, workforce, agency and finance sources, ensuring consistency across disparate systems Maintain and extend existing Power BI dashboards and support the build of new ones Populate, update and quality-assure Excel-based financial models including cost models, savings trackers and scenario analysis Produce recurring commercial reports and respond to ad-hoc data requests from internal stakeholders Apply a GDPR-first approach to all data involving service users, staff or suppliers

At least one year’s experience working with data in a commercial, finance or operational setting Strong Excel skills - confident with lookups, pivots and formulas, with appetite to develop into financial modelling Intermediate VBA - comfortable writing and maintaining macros to semi-automate data processing tasks (data cleansing, file consolidation, repetitive Excel workflows) Exposure to Power BI - basic understanding of DAX and data modelling concepts Meticulous attention to detail and patience with messy data Good problem-solving skills Clear written and verbal communication - able to document work and explain findings to non-analysts Able to work positively as part of the team and on own initiative when required

Exposure to health, social care or other regulated sectors Any experience handling sensitive or personal data Power Query / M basics SQL basics Experience presenting analysis to stakeholders
