DevOps Engineer (DV)

The successful candidate will work in a hands-on role that combines technical engineering with leadership, ownership, and mentoring. You’ll work closely with engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.

Responsibilities include:

Design, build, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and containerised environments.

Take ownership of engineering work packages from planning and estimation through to delivery and reporting.

Develop and review Infrastructure as Code, automation solutions, and technical documentation.

Implement DevOps solutions across secure environments, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and security requirements.

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to DevOps Engineers and Technicians.

Work collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders, and customers to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.

Contribute to engineering standards, governance, and best practice.

Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement across the development and delivery lifecycle.

A demonstrable background in DevOps engineering which includes a strong understanding of CI/CD principles and version control, particularly Git.

Hands-on experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Practical knowledge of containerisation technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.

An understanding of cyber security principles and secure system delivery.

The ability to take ownership of technical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (DV).
