ERP Master data MDG

Act as the IT Expert and Consultant for the SAP S/4HANA & MDG - Material Master Data Global Template team, leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Global Template. In this role, you will be accountable for defining and governing Material Master data standards, ensuring data quality, lineage, and metadata accuracy across the organization. You will drive and enforce data governance policies, support data stewardship programs, and collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to align data definitions, resolve data issues, and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements. By combining deep SAP S/4HANA & MDG expertise with strong data management and governance capabilities, you will play a key role in building a trusted, scalable, and well-managed Material Master data environment that enables high-quality decision-making and operational excellence. Description of the area, + Scope / (Content Leadership): o Act as the IT Expert and Consultant for the SAP S/4HANA & MDG - Material Master Data Global Template team, leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Global Template. o Leads, develops, and enforces data governance policies. Works independently on specific governance projects to ensure organizational alignment and data integrity. o Responsible for process design, configuration, testing assistance, requirements gathering, and establishing a fully functional MDG environment. o Execute hands-on functional responsibilities, including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, system configuration, and testing. o Partner closely with Business Product, Process, and Content owners to plan and execute strategic enhancements to the Global Template solution. o Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, and Product Owners to create detailed technical architecture patterns for master data initiatives. o Distribute and coordinate deliverables across cross-functional IT teams (such as Build and Test factories), ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards. o Conduct feasibility studies and process design reviews specifically for the SAP S/4HANA / MDG - Material Master Data solution. o Coordinate all SAP S/4HANA / MDG - Material Master Data dependencies-including data migration, harmonization, and IT integration-while ensuring strict alignment with global template principles.

• Accountability/Problem Solving: Addresses big data governance issues. Implements and maintains robust governance standards and practices to proactively resolve compliance challenges.

• Stakeholder Management: o Partner with business stakeholders to develop innovative solutions addressing business challenges and opportunities. o Collaborates extensively with various departments to ensure compliance. o Communicates effectively and clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to build trust and alignment.

• Impact/Strategy: Handles big-sized data governance projects. Develops and executes strategies that significantly improve data quality and overall organizational compliance.
• Complexity / (Product Size): Oversees more complex data governance systems. Ensures critical data integrity and security across multiple business units.
• Business / Technical ability: Applies high proficiency in data management tools and practices. Demonstrates and leverages a strong, comprehensive knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations to safeguard data assets., Where pay transparency applies, details are provided based on the primary posting location. For this role, the primary location is Madrid. • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of dedicated experience in SAP Material Master Data.
• At least 3 full-lifecycle implementations of the SAP MDG - Material Master Module, including Consolidation, Mass Processing, Data Quality Management (DQM), Integration, and Master Data Quality (MDQ).
• Demonstrated experience handling big-sized data governance projects and overseeing complex data governance systems.
• Proven track record of independently leading, developing, and enforcing data governance policies and standards across multiple business units.

• Experience actively managing data assets, ensuring data quality, lineage, and metadata accuracy. Technical / Business Skills

• Deep functional understanding of SAP Material Master concepts, including Procure-to-Pay, Manufacturing, and Quality Management.
• Expert-level SAP functional configuration of Material master data.
• Proficiency in SAP Customizing and SAP ABAP, specifically in design, implementation, and debugging.
• Advanced knowledge of BRF+ (Business Rule Framework plus), including building rule-based workflow services and working collaboratively with developers for enhancements.
• Proven hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager and Focused Build cycles.

• Strong, in-depth knowledge of data privacy laws, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards. Soft Skills

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex governance requirements for both technical teams and non-technical business leaders.

• Strong collaborative mindset to work closely with various departments to define data definitions, resolve data issues, and ensure strict compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

• SAP MDG certification.
• Cloud Architecture: A foundational understanding of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) applications.
• Integration: A basic understanding of middleware applications and integrations.
