DevOps Engineer

We’re supporting a major UK Defence programme and are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure Azure environments supporting mission-critical systems.

Working within an Agile delivery team, you’ll help deliver scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure, leveraging modern DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and support secure Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and ARM Templates.
• Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and platform services.
• Automate deployments and operational processes using Python and PowerShell.
• Manage Azure networking, security, monitoring, alerting, VNets, and Private Endpoints.
• Support Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Data Factory solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders across complex defence programmes.

• Strong Azure cloud infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Functions, ADF, VNets, and Private Endpoints.
• Terraform and ARM Template expertise.
• Azure DevOps experience including Repos, Boards, Artifacts, Pipelines, and YAML.
• Python and PowerShell Scripting skills.
• Experience working within Agile and CI/CD environments.
• Strong understanding of secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure design.

Desirable Skills

• Microsoft Power Platform.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Experience supporting secure government or defence environments.

Security Requirements

Candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance and willing to undergo the clearance process.
