QXDM Device Specialist

FNS Systems LLC is seeking a QXDM Device Specialist for an immediate client opportunity. This is a 100% onsite position. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting and validating 4G LTE and 5G NR devices using Qualcomm diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Capture and analyze device logs using QXDM, QCAT, QPST, and Qualcomm DIAG tools.
• Troubleshoot LTE, 5G NSA, and 5G SA connectivity issues.
• Investigate registration, call setup, data, handover, throughput, IMS, VoLTE, and VoWiFi issues.
• Analyze RRC, NAS, IMS, SIP, MAC, and PHY-layer logs.
• Reproduce device and network issues and identify root causes.
• Create detailed defect reports, test results, and technical documentation.
• Support device validation, regression testing, carrier acceptance, and field-debug activities.
• Collaborate onsite with modem, firmware, RF, network, and QA engineering teams.

• 3-5 years of experience in wireless device testing, modem diagnostics, or cellular protocol troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Qualcomm QXDM.
• Strong knowledge of 4G LTE, 5G NR, NSA, and SA technologies.
• Experience with Android devices, ADB, QPST, QCAT, and Qualcomm DIAG tools.
• Familiarity with RRC, NAS, IMS, VoLTE, VoWiFi, carrier aggregation, and EN-DC.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field preferred.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite at the client location.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with carrier testing, device certification, RF testing, or network emulators.
• Knowledge of 3GPP standards.
• Experience with Python, shell scripting, Wireshark, Jira, or TestRail.
