Sustainability Data & Analytics Manager

As the Sustainability Data & Analytics Manager, you will lead the operational, analytical, and technical foundations of BCG’s internal sustainability measurement systems-ensuring data quality, consistent methodologies, and actionable insights across the globe.

You will manage a Senior Analyst and provide direction to technical partners, regional stakeholders, and cross-functional data owners. Working closely with the Director of Internal Sustainability, the Reduce team, Data Tribe, Data Platform and Products teams, and external vendors, you will provide the leadership, project direction, and expert oversight necessary for BCG to meet its reporting obligations and advance its net zero program.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing day-to-day oversight of BCG’s internal GHG emissions data, reporting systems, and analytical products
• Partnering with BCG’s data engineering teams to enhance data pipelines, improve automation, and evolve sustainability data architecture
• Writing functional and technical specifications, reviewing data models, and overseeing code quality for sustainability-related data pipelines and dashboards
• Ensuring end-to-end data governance, quality assurance, and maintenance of a reliable single source of truth
• Building and enhancing monthly reporting dashboards and analytics tools that support carbon reduction insights
• Supporting key inputs into the annual carbon footprint calculation process and coordinating the external audit of GHG emissions data
• Engaging with Reduce Team and broader stakeholders to align requirements, drive adoption of reporting tools, and support change management
• Line managing a Senior Analyst, providing coaching, direction, and opportunities for growth, You will report to the Sustainability Director responsible for Measurement and Reporting. You will line manage a Sustainability Senior Analyst. You will collaborate closely with the Reduce Team Pillar, Data Tribe, and technical product and data teams across BCG.

• 6+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, BI, or related technical operational roles, ideally within a sustainability context, but not required.
• Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools (e.g., Snowflake, DBT, Airflow)
• Strong SQL and Python fluency
• Advanced data visualization (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
• Experience writing technical specifications, reviewing code or data models, and supporting engineering workflows
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and experience project management

Nice to have:

• Exposure to BCG systems (SAP, Workday, ChromeRiver)
• Knowledge of JIRA or similar project management tools
• Knowledge of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting principles and assurance procedures
• Familiarity with Agile principles and practices
• Advanced Excel or statistical analysis skills, * Balancing hands-on technical problem solving with strategic thinking and long-term planning
• Translating complex analytical concepts into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders
• Project management and building collaborative partnerships across technical and non-technical audiences
• Applying structured problem solving, strong judgment, and rigorous attention to detail
• Navigating a global, matrixed environment and managing multiple priorities
• Working autonomously to to execute end to end process from problem statement to solution
