Vice President Lead Engineer, Prime Brokerage Technology

• Deliver and own cash and fixed-income data processing components (Java/Kotlin) within the Prime Brokerage Technology platform
• Champion developer-led automated testing as a core engineering practice
• Work within an Agile team with a strong focus on Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Actively participate in design, planning, and estimation discussions
• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure functions are well integrated to meet shared goals, and identify system enhancements needed to support new products and process improvements
• Resolve high-impact problems through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system architecture, and industry standards
• Provide subject-matter expertise and advanced applications programming knowledge, ensuring designs align with the overall architecture blueprint
• Apply advanced knowledge of system flow to define standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
• Build a comprehensive understanding of how architecture, infrastructure, and other business functions integrate to achieve broader business goals
• Deliver in-depth, interpretive analysis to define issues clearly and develop innovative solutions
• Provide technical leadership, acting as an advisor and coach to mid-level developers and analysts

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role

• Proven background delivering software using an iterative Agile approach
• Track record of quality-led engineering, including developer-led automated testing, CI/CD, microservices, containerized deployment, and cloud engineering
• Demonstrated ability to own and drive successful delivery to business stakeholders
• Comfortable engaging directly with product owners to understand requirements and explore solutions
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Prior experience or knowledge of Prime Brokerage is desirable but not essential
• Experience operating in a collaborative leadership capacity, acting as “first among peers”, * Open, collaborative communication style
• Genuine pride in delivering solutions that make users happy
• Practical experience with Agile and DevOps practices - including continuous integration, test automation, frequent releases, and containerization
• Hands-on JVM development experience using Kotlin, Java, or Scala
• Solid understanding of Event-based architectures and HTTP/REST-based architectures
• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Familiarity with tools such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a strong plus, * Degree in a technical or quantitative discipline preferred (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field), * Takes personal ownership of the timeliness and quality of delivery
• Communicates and collaborates effectively with business users and other technology teams
• Champions a culture of continuous improvement, always seeking to refine processes and practices - both individually and across the team
• Comfortable giving and receiving open, honest feedback
