AI Engineer (Python & Java)

A large healthcare organization is seeking an AI Engineer. This organization is investing heavily in new AI initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency, automate workflows, and generate significant cost savings across the business. Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise AI applications and services

• Build and optimize LLM-powered solutions, RAG pipelines, and AI workflows

• Develop Python and Java-based microservices supporting AI initiatives

• Integrate AI models with enterprise data sources and business applications

• Implement secure and compliant solutions for handling healthcare data

• Collaborate with product, data, and business teams to identify and deliver AI-driven efficiencies

• Monitor model performance, improve accuracy, and support ongoing production operations

4+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience

• Strong Python development experience, including building APIs, data pipelines, and AI applications

• Experience with Java and Spring Boot microservices

• Experience developing and deploying AI/GenAI solutions in production environments

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases

• Experience working in cloud environments, preferably GCP/Kubernetes - Experience with multi-agent AI frameworks such as LangChain or similar technologies

• Experience with Google Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, or other enterprise LLM platforms

• Experience with NLP, text classification, document extraction, or semantic search solutions

• Healthcare, specialty pharmacy, or regulated-industry experience

• Experience building human-in-the-loop AI workflows with auditing and compliance requirements
