QA Tester

We are seeking a structured, tech-savvy Quality Control (QC) & Support Analyst to manage software quality, ticket workflows, and testing efficiencies for our web portal and mobile applications.

Reporting to the Program Manager and collaborating closely with our Business Intelligence Analyst (BA) to turn requirements into actionable test profiles, triage incoming support tickets. Work closely with the Development Team to resolve clarify issues. By owning our end-to-end and regression test suites you will work independently to build fast, repeatable workflows that protect the integrity of our mission-critical emergency management platform., * Test Suite Ownership: Build, maintain, and execute comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) and regression test suites to ensure that new code updates or mobile OS patches do not disrupt existing core workflows.

• Low-Code Test Automation: Convert repetitive manual workflows into fast, automated scripts using visual recording and low-code testing tools (e.g., Playwright CodeGen, Selenium IDE) to significantly accelerate pre-release testing cycles.
• Program & Core Team Collaboration: Report directly to the Program Manager on testing progress, test coverage, bug metrics, and overall release readiness. Work in lockstep with the Business Analyst (BA) to break down user stories and software requirements into structured test scenarios.
• Developer Alignment & Defect Resolution: Communicate and clarify technical bugs clearly to the Development Team, provide real-time testing feedback, and verify software fixes during active development sprints.
• Azure DevOps Ticket Ownership: Own the full lifecycle of defect tracking and user support tickets. Ensure every bug, edge case, and user issue is clearly documented in Azure DevOps with pristine reproduction steps (Given/When/Then format), environment configurations, and visual attachments.
• Support Ticket Triage: Manage incoming user issues. Investigate, replicate, and isolate whether a reported problem is a user training issue, a data sync latency, or a software defect before routing it to development.
• Mobile & Offline Validation: Test core mobile features including GPS location tracking, map displays, and the app’s critical “offline mode” to ensure field data syncs perfectly once a user regains cellular connection.

• Experience: 4 years of professional experience in Software Testing (QA/QC) with a proven track record designing and maintaining structured end-to-end and regression test frameworks.
• Azure DevOps Proficiency: Hands-on experience creating, updating, and organizing bugs, tasks, and test plans within Azure DevOps (or Jira).
• Cross-Functional Team Dynamics: Proven ability to work successfully within an Agile team structure, interacting effectively with Program Managers, BAs, and Developers alike.
• Mobile Testing Nuances: Proven experience testing native mobile apps on both iOS and Android devices, including an understanding of mobile permissions (location, camera) and network interruption behavior.
• Communication & Clarity: Exceptional written communication skills. You must be able to write unambiguous bug reproduction steps that developers can follow without confusion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Tooling Aptitude: Experience with or a strong willingness to learn modern visual test recording and automation tools to speed up manual regression work.
• Familiarity with web testing tools like Postman, Playwright, or browser developer tools., Sitting and working on a computer for long, continuous periods each day; effective communications by telephone, email, and face-to-face; standing, walking, and sitting; handling and feeling objects or controls; reaching; talking and hearing; lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds; and specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
