Test Automation Engineer

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting federal technology programs, working within Agile teams, and executing testing activities across complex application environments. Key Responsibilities - Perform functional, regression, API, security, and automated testing

• Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts
• Support test automation strategies and the development and maintenance of automated scripts
• Assist with test data preparation and test environment configuration
• Identify, document, monitor, and report software defects
• Analyze testing results and communicate findings to project stakeholders
• Participate in code reviews and quality improvement activities
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures

Additional Requirement: Current IRS-issued government furnished equipment Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Tester to support continuous testing activities across IRS applications and systems. This position focuses on functional, regression, API, security, and automated testing, along with defect management and continuous improvement of the end-to-end testing process., * Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of software testing or quality assurance experience

• Active IRS MBI
• Current IRS-issued government furnished equipment
• Experience with functional, regression, API, and automation testing
• Experience developing and executing test cases and test scripts
• Demonstrated experience with test planning, test execution, defect management, and quality engineering processes
• Experience using JIRA, Confluence, SQL, and Git
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery teams
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with client stakeholders at varying organizational and technical levels Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting IRS applications or technology programs
• Experience with 508 accessibility testing
• Familiarity with security-related testing
• Experience creating or maintaining automated test scripts
• Experience supporting test data and environment configuration
• Familiarity with continuous testing and continuous integration practices Work Arrangement This position may be performed remotely. Candidates must maintain the required IRS access, clearance, and government-issued equipment necessary to support the program. Employment Structure This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for conversion following the initial contract period.
