• Courses in the Computer Information Systems discipline include courses in application, operating systems, software development/programming, hardware, security, and networking. A course in office productivity software (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access) is a common first teaching assignment in this discipline.
• Teaching assignment may include a full range of undergraduate courses within the Computer Information Systems program.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business & Technology, Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Computer or Software Engineering, Network Security or Management, Information Systems, Technology or related degree. –OR– Master’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Educational Technology, Engineering in Computer Science, Information, Information Management, Information Systems, Information System Management, IT, Library and Information Science, Science in Computer Science, Science in Computing Research, Science in Cyber Security, Mathematics and Computer Science, Technology (Computer Related), Business (Information Systems) or related degree. –OR– Bachelor’s degree in any other field with 18 graduate hours in these disciplines.

CIS 115: MOS Master certification including Access and any Bachelor’s degree .

• 4,000 hours non-teaching related work experience.
• Teaching experience at the higher education level preferred.
• All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members.
