Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality software. You’ll collaborate with other developers, participate in code reviews, and ensure adherence to project requirements. Additionally, you’ll contribute to an agile environment, handle customer support calls, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What Your Day May Look Like:

• Design, develop, enhance, and release high-quality software solutions that meet functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and supportability requirements.
• Collaborate with software developers, testing teams, and integration teams to manage project dependencies, resolve defects, and ensure successful product integration.
• Participate in the review and inspection of software designs, technical specifications, architecture, and source code to maintain quality standards.
• Contribute to Agile development processes, including planning, estimation, task breakdown, progress tracking, risk identification, and status reporting.
• Develop and maintain functional and design documentation to support software lifecycle activities.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented, and high-performing team environment.
• Create and manage work packages for development teams, ensuring tasks are clearly defined, prioritized, and executable.
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes and implement effective solutions that enhance productivity and quality.
• Work across multiple software technologies, including C++, C, and control systems, to support business and customer objectives.
• Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation to provide emergency customer support and troubleshoot critical issues.
• Engage directly with customers through in-person and remote interactions, clearly communicating technical concepts, solutions, and issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in solution development using C/C++.
• Strong experience building and supporting PTC solutions.
• Solid understanding of software algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design principles.
• Knowledge of multi-threading, distributed computing, and microservices architecture.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux operating system environments.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash and Python; Docker experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas, share knowledge, and influence stakeholders.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
