Hardware Systems Engineering Lead - E4

• Lead product development and provide technical direction to engineers working across hardware, software, and firmware.
• Derive and manage requirements through design, integration, and verification.
• Ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of engineering deliverables.
• Support cost and schedule commitments while managing technical risks and priorities.
• Drive compliance with Systems Engineering and Hardware Development processes.
• Collaborate with customers, program leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Leverage Digital Transformation practices, including model-based engineering, test automation, and Agile development, to improve how products are designed, integrated, and delivered.

This is a full-time, onsite position in Owego, NY. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

You’re an experienced systems or hardware engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and leading technical efforts. You bring hands-on experience with hardware design and systems engineering, ideally involving advanced processing systems. You’re organized, collaborative, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities while communicating effectively with engineering teams, leadership, and customers., * Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Systems Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

• Strong team leadership experience.

• Experience leading hardware design efforts including requirements derivation through product integration support.

• Experience with advanced processing systems that include hardware, software, and firmware elements.

• Experience collaborating with all engineering disciplines and program personnel and participation in cross functional product development.

• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to at least the Secret level and Interim Secret to start.

Desired Skills

• DOD customer experience

• Experience with designing / developing / integrating advanced processing systems

• Experience with DO-254 and/or DO-178 design certification

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to brief technical / program information to internal and external audiences

• Experience working in classified environments

• Drive execution through a Digital Engineering environment, leveraging Model-Based System Engineering, DevSecOps and Agile approaches

• Experience with DOORS and NextGen DOORS
