The Department of Information Systems and Technology Management at the George Washington University School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Information Systems position beginning in Fall 2027. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and an established research record.
Applicants are expected to develop and sustain a high-quality research program leading to publications in premier scholarly journals. Teaching responsibilities will include high-quality courses for undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Business. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence and flexibility in contributing to the Departmentās evolving teaching needs in artificial intelligence, information systems, technology management, and emerging digital technologies.
This position is part of a broader GWSB cluster hire in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Analytics, which includes faculty positions in Information Systems and Technology Management, Decision Sciences, and Finance. Within this broader initiative, the ISTM Department seeks candidates whose research examines important technological, organizational, economic, or societal questions related to artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and emerging digital technologies. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, generative AI, human-AI interaction, responsible AI, AI-enabled innovation and transformation, and the economic and societal implications of AI. The position is grounded in the Information Systems discipline while encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration across GWSB.
