Senior Model Based Systems Engineer

• Architecting, developing, and integrating MBSE models of Navy systems and processes to be used for documentation, engineering analysis, and simulation
• Evaluate technical options to determine the optimum SysML approach in consultation with customers and management
• Reviewing, extracting, and abstracting data from technical documentation for incorporation in system models
• Manage the implementation of the selected architecture within Cameo Systems Modeler, including assigning tasks to modelers and ensuring the work meets the intent of the design
• Integrate Cameo models with databases and data visualization tools to meet customer reporting requirements.
• Guiding and mentoring junior modelers
• Performing quality assurance reviews of models and other work products
• Maintaining configuration management of models and repositories
• Interfacing with program managers to plan workforce availability and assigning tasking to modelers

• Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field from an ABET-accredited program
• 5+ years of systems engineer experience or experience working with NAVSEA systems in an engineering role
• 4+ years of experience with Cameo Systems Modeler
• 2+ years of relevant technical leadership
• 2+ years of experience with Jira and Confluence

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with shipboard control systems, operational technology, and/or network infrastructure.
• Experience with Navy technical documentation (e.g., technical manuals, installation drawings).
• A relevant certification such as INCOSE or OCSMP.
• Experience with MySQL, Databricks, and PowerBI.

Clearance Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship required and an active or current Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
