MES Applications Engineer

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as an Applications Engineer.

As part of our Group Applications Team, you will be at the forefront of our manufacturing operations, playing a vital role in supporting and enhancing our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across multiple factories in Europe. Your work will be critical in ensuring that our production processes are efficient, integrated, and continually improved.

Your key responsibilities:

• Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Support & Optimization: Provide expert support for our MES and associated production processes, ensuring smooth operations across multiple European factories.
• System Integration: Facilitate the seamless integration of the MES with other IT systems, including SAP PP, Agro, SCADA, and printing applications, ensuring data flows effortlessly between systems.
• Data Reporting & Analysis: Develop and enhance reporting on MES data, including key performance metrics like Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), to drive informed decision-making.
• IoT & Energy Reporting: Contribute to the rollout of IoT architecture and energy reporting initiatives, playing a pivotal role in our digital transformation journey.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify, define, and implement continuous improvements in our production and IT processes, ensuring we remain at the cutting edge of manufacturing technology.
• Project Participation: Collaborate as a key team member on MES-related projects, from conception through to implementation, ensuring successful delivery and adoption.
• Documentation: Maintain and document support procedures, ensuring knowledge is shared and accessible across the team.

• Bachelor’s degree or have equivalent experience. A degree in IT/ICT is an asset but not a strict requirement
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience working in manufacturing environments, with exposure to production processes and MES software. Experience with Objective or production automation is an advantage
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to delve into the details while also understanding the bigger picture
• Your communication skills are top-notch, enabling you to work effectively with various stakeholders, from production teams to senior management
• You are open to short trips within Europe to support our various sites
• You speak Dutch fluently and have a good knowledge of English
