Embedded Software Engineer

A Senior Embedded Software Engineer is sought to join an innovative engineering team in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, contributing to the design, development and validation of secure embedded software for network-connected assistive listening products., The Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, will be expected to take a leading role in embedded software development, working across the full product lifecycle while collaborating with hardware, firmware, test and compliance teams., * Designing and developing embedded software in C/C++ for real-time systems

• Developing secure network-connected products using TCP/IP, HTTP/S and TLS
• Writing, testing and maintaining production-quality embedded software
• Supporting cybersecurity, compliance and secure product development
• Working with RTOS and low-level device drivers for ARM-based platforms
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver new products
• Supporting debugging, technical reviews and continuous product improvements

The Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, will have the following key skills:

• Strong embedded C and/or C++ development experience
• Experience with RTOS, bare-metal development and ARM Cortex processors
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/S, TLS and network-connected embedded systems
• Experience with low-level interfaces including SPI, I2C, UART and DMA
• Strong debugging, problem-solving and technical communication skills
