Senior .Net Developer

We’re recruiting a Senior .NET Developer for a long-established digital solutions business in Nottingham. This is a fully on-site role, working in a close-knit, experienced development team that builds and supports bespoke web platforms, e-commerce sites and business system integrations for UK clients.

You’ll work across a mature, established codebase using C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET and SQL Server. You’ll maintain and extend existing systems as well as delivering new features and integrations. This role suits a seasoned developer who enjoys hands-on, practical problem solving and working directly with the business.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

• Delivers B2B ordering portals, e-commerce storefronts and bespoke integrations with third-party business and accounting systems
• Works with a loyal client base, from startups to established UK brands, across a wide range of industries
• Small, experienced team where your work is visible and valued, * Develop, maintain and enhance web applications and bespoke platforms using C#, VB.NET and ASP.NET
• Design, write and optimise SQL Server databases, queries and stored procedures
• Build and support integrations between client websites and third-party business systems
• Support and extend a mature, established codebase, including legacy VB.NET components
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve production issues
• Work closely with colleagues and clients to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions

• 10+ years’ commercial software development experience
• Strong C# and ASP.NET experience
• Commercial VB.NET experience, or a willingness to work on VB.NET codebases
• Solid SQL Server skills, including T-SQL, stored procedures and performance tuning
• Experience building and supporting web applications and system integrations
• Must live within a commutable distance of Nottingham and be happy working fully on-site

• Salary of £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience
