Job description

  • Explore, develop, and deploy novel hardware & software features for the current and future DRBPM UAV platform
  • Integrate, test, and validate new UAV sensors and cameras
  • Be responsible to prepare test procedures, to validate the functionality of each sensor firmware as well as the whole system functionality, flight simulation testing as well as field testing
  • Perform field test flights for assessment of the developed UAS (Drone piloting skills required)
  • Participate in demo projects for further assessment of the stability and functionality of current and future DRBPM UAV platform
  • Design prototypes for DRBPM UAV payload & Rapid prototyping via 3D printing

Requirements

  • University Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/ Robotics/ Embedded systems/ Electrical engineering / Mechanical engineering or other related university degree, * Understanding UAV electronics and multi-copter development as well as principle of operation
  • UAV piloting skills and a license
  • CAD Design & Rapid prototyping via 3D printing
  • Possession of strong problem-solving skills, curious, resourceful and agile mindset
  • Good written and spoken English is required, as this is the corporate working language, * Industry experience in developing UAVs/ robotics using C/C++, Python and Linux
  • Experience with flight control systems such as PX4 flight stack / QGroundcontrol / Ardupilot flight stack, Dronecode SDK, MAVLink communication protocol, as well as low level communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN)
