Junior Javascript & Typescript Backend Engineer

• We build, maintain, and support the customer-facing JavaScript agent that collects web data for Real User Monitoring (RUM).
• You’ll join a highly skilled team that owns the agent end-to-end.
• As an entry-level engineer, you’ll contribute to real features, learn our codebase and practices, and grow quickly through mentorship-working on implementation, testing, performance, and maintainability together as one team.
• Implement and enhance features in our TypeScript-based web agent with guidance from senior engineers.
• Improve maintainability, performance, and footprint while keeping compatibility in mind.
• Write reliable tests (Vitest, Playwright) and use our toolchain (esbuild, ESLint, internal tooling).
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews; learn how we plan and deliver iteratively.
• Communicate progress proactively and ask questions early - curiosity is very welcome here.

• Solid JS/TS fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of unit/E2E testing and an interest in browser topics.
• A clean-code mindset and an eye for performance.
• Friendly, open communication and willingness to learn quickly.
• Language: English (German is a plus)., * HTL graduate or similar background (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience with Agile practices and drive continuously improve.

• Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to list a salary range for this position, which is €46,000 up to €66,000 gross per year based on full-time employment (38.5 h/week).
