Job description

Our client seeks an Application Cloud Engineer to maintain and enhance AWS-based applications and infrastructure. The role collaborates with development, operations, and business teams to design, deploy, and optimize cloud solutions that support business objectives., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud applications on AWS.

Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
Manage cloud resources, including EC2 instances, VPCs, S3 buckets, RDS databases, and other AWS services.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud-native technologies and best practices into application development lifecycle.
Monitor and optimize cloud performance, cost, and security using AWS tools such as CloudWatch, AWS Config, and AWS Trusted Advisor.
Implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions to ensure high availability and resilience.
Participate in on-call rotations and provide technical support for production issues.
Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience with AWS cloud platform and services.
Proven experience with infrastructure as code tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
Strong understanding of networking, security, and storage solutions on AWS.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate).
Knowledge of DevOps practices and methodologies.
Experience with big data technologies and analytics on AWS.
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional.
