Systems Test Engineer

The Test Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and executing comprehensive test and evaluation plans to ensure that systems, equipment, and software meet the government requirements and specifications. This role involves designing and implementing test protocols, creating test cases and test scripts, and conducting hands-on testing to identify and document defects and anomalies. The Test Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine test plans, and will collaborate with system engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Additionally, the Test Engineer will analyze test data, report test results, and provide recommendations for system improvement, while ensuring compliance with government regulations and industry standards. A strong understanding of test engineering principles, experience with testing methodologies and tools, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 2 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 0 years experience.
• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Knowledge of system integration and test principles and processes.
• Basic Knowledge of systems engineering principles including requirement decomposition and allocation of requirements.
• Experience with development of test plans, procedures, and reports (functional testing and checkout)., * Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or another Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
• Certified Test Engineer (CTE) or Certified Software Test Engineer (CTSE)
• Knowledge/experience with AF Test Directive 99-103
• Minuteman III Weapon System Knowledge and Experience
• Teamcenter/CPLM experience
• RF Testing Experience

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. #Sentinelintandtest Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
