Senior Platform Engineer (Platform Experience)

This is a senior engineering role focused on building and evolving an internal platform that serves as a technology foundation for multiple product and development teams. You will work across user-facing experiences, backend services, integrations, orchestration, security, and platform architecture. The role offers broad technical ownership, with the opportunity to influence the platform as a complete product rather than focusing on isolated components. You will design systems that connect with external services while providing reliable workflows, strong access controls, observability, and scalable infrastructure. You will also collaborate closely with AI automation teams to make the platform capable of supporting sophisticated and secure agent-driven workflows. • Develop user-facing platform experiences that support teams across areas such as analytics, releases, live operations, player support, and other daily workflows.
• Design, build, and maintain APIs and microservices that form the core of the internal platform.
• Develop a robust integration layer for external systems, treating each integration as an independent component with appropriate authentication, rate limiting, caching, failure handling, and platform-specific abstractions.
• Build orchestration capabilities for integrations, including scheduled and event-driven workflows, stateful operations, retries, and handling of partial results.
• Make access control a core part of the platform by implementing and maintaining RBAC, multi-tenant data isolation, SSO, OIDC, audit logging, and practical administration tools.
• Design and develop an MCP layer using multiple focused servers to enable granular and controlled access to platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with AI Automation teams to understand agent-driven workflows and ensure the platform can support these use cases securely and reliably.
• Implement comprehensive logging, metrics, monitoring, and product analytics across both backend services and frontend experiences.
• Contribute to platform architecture, technical standards, integrations, security practices, scalability, and long-term system reliability.
• Work end to end across the stack, taking ownership of technical problems from design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

• 5+ years of experience building web products end to end, with strong experience taking ownership across both frontend and backend.
• Production experience with Python, React, and TypeScript.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex workflows that interact with multiple external systems.
• Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining integrations with external APIs.
• Practical experience with enterprise application patterns, including RBAC, multi-tenancy, SSO/OIDC, audit logging, and application security.
• Production experience working with systems that integrate LLM APIs or other AI-powered capabilities.
• Strong understanding of relational data modeling, including database schemas designed around tenancy, permissions, and data isolation.
• Experience with AWS at an architectural level, including Infrastructure as Code; Terraform experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, service integration, authentication, reliability, and failure-handling patterns.
• Ability to balance technical depth with product thinking and understand how platform capabilities translate into practical value for internal users.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying technical risks and opportunities.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a remote-first environment and collaborating across engineering and specialist teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute to architectural discussions, technical decisions, and cross-functional initiatives.
