Job description

This Senior Software Engineer in Test role is focused on building and maintaining automated testing solutions for complex software applications. The position requires 10+ years of software testing/Quality Engineering experience, including at least 4 years of hands-on development with object-oriented languages such as Java or Python and 5+ years of automation scripting. Responsibilities include developing end-to-end test strategies, creating automated tests and tools, performing functional, regression, and end-to-end testing, applying BDD practices, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and improving automation coverage and maintainability., This Senior Software Engineer in Test role is focused on building and enhancing test automation for complex, distributed applications within a Quality Engineering organization. The engineer will develop automated testing solutions across multiple layers of the technology stack, improve existing automation frameworks, and perform functional and regression testing while working independently within Agile or Kanban teams.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Java, REST API testing using Rest Assured or Karate, SQL/PL-SQL, Jenkins, BDD, CI/CD, and DevOps concepts is required. Experience with Docker, AWS or Azure, mobile testing, service virtualization, non-functional testing, and Salesforce/CRM applications is beneficial. The role also requires strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to lead testing efforts and work effectively across development, architecture, and business teams. Must Have:

Java
Rest Assured
SQL, Candidates should have 10+ years of test automation development experience with strong Java skills, along with JavaScript/TypeScript and hands-on experience with Cypress and Playwright. Strong experience is also required with Selenium, Cucumber, REST Assured, JUnit/TestNG, REST/SOAP web services, SQL, Git, Jenkins, Azure, DevOps, and CI/CD. The ideal candidate can work with existing frameworks, translate requirements into test scenarios and acceptance criteria, identify automation risks, and quickly adapt in a fast-paced engineering environment. Must Have:
