Salesforce Enterprise Architect

Salesforce Enterprise Architect | Location: Hartford, CT | Contract | Hourly Pay Range: $65-$75 Our client is seeking an experienced Salesforce Enterprise Architect to lead the architecture, governance, and modernization of their enterprise Salesforce platform, including Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud. This role combines hands-on engineering with strategic oversight to support multiple delivery teams and drive platform excellence., * Establish Salesforce architecture standards and develop the platform roadmap to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.

• Lead architectural reviews and provide mentorship to senior engineers and architects across teams.
• Design and own org strategy, data models, sharing/security architecture, and decision frameworks for declarative versus programmatic development.
• Lead development efforts in Apex, LWC, Flow, and Platform Events, promoting reusable frameworks and best practices.
• Architect API and event-driven integrations using REST, SOAP, middleware, and messaging systems, defining data contracts and error handling protocols.
• Own data governance strategies, including data modeling, quality, retention, and migration plans.
• Drive modernization initiatives by promoting adoption of Flow, LWC, Data Cloud, and AI/ML tools, setting standards for AI-assisted development.
• Oversee CI/CD processes, source control, release management, and seasonal Salesforce release planning.
• Manage security and risk, including security/sharing models, encryption, monitoring, and AppExchange risk assessments.
• Guide license optimization, AppExchange governance, and offshore delivery oversight.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions, balancing trade-offs and presenting to executive leadership., Note: This role blends strategic architecture with hands-on development, supporting a large-scale Salesforce environment to enable enterprise growth and modernization. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of software engineering experience, including 12+ years of Salesforce platform development and architecture.
• Deep expertise in Salesforce security/sharing, data architecture, and enterprise-scale solution design.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, integration patterns, and enterprise integration governance.
• Proven leadership in technical initiatives across teams without direct authority.
• Experience establishing engineering governance and architecture review processes.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills, capable of engaging technical and executive audiences.
• Core technical stack includes Apex, LWC, Flow, Platform Events, Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP/Bulk/Streaming), MuleSoft or similar middleware, OAuth/JWT/SAML, Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD tools (Gearset, Copado, Flosum)., * Experience in regulated industries such as insurance, financial services, or healthcare.
• End-to-end CRM transformation leadership, including org consolidation and M&A integration.
• Certifications such as CTA, Application/System/Integration/Data Architect, Platform Developer II.
