Information Technology Senior Consultant Lv 5 (BP)

Performs as a consultant in highly specialized, leading edge information technologies and methodologies; Provides highly technical and specialized guidance concerning automated solutions to complex information processing problems; Performs elaborate analyses and studies; Prepares reports and gives presentations. Manages the project work as defined by the government. Leads medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects. Provides highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems., * Deploy monitoring tools to detect system anomalies and prevent service disruptions.

• Perform root cause analysis on outages and implement preventive fixes.
• Support hardware, software, and appliance deployments, upgrades, and security patching.
• Translate user requirements and system architectures into technical specifications.
• Provide Tier 1-3 help desk support for client, server, and network issues.
• Manage OS patching, hardware maintenance, and account administration (passwords/tickets).

• Active Directory & GPO Administration: Enterprise-level Senior Windows Engineer specializing in Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security baselines, optimize configuration management, and define granular management scopes across domain and local environments.
• Infrastructure Automation: Leverage SaltStack to automate system deployment, streamline configuration management, and maintain state enforcement across hybrid infrastructure.
• Virtualization & Cloud Management: Administer VMware environments to host, manage, and scale high-availability virtual machines, private clouds, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Privileged Access Management (PAM): Implement and maintain Centrify to secure privileged credentials, enforce least-privilege access controls, and meet compliance standards.
• VDI & App Virtualization: Managed Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMware Horizon) environments to deliver high-performance Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and application virtualization to end users., * Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience, Associate’s degree and 15 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma and 20 years of relevant experience.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience with PowerShell for task automation and configuration management
• Experience managing secure computing environments to adhere with DISA STIGs and NIST 800-53 controls.
• Experience with Ansible (environment is currently utilizing SALT but will transition to Ansible in the future)
• Experience with Linux and RedHat
• Provision, manage, and support Windows servers across online and air-gapped networks.
