Senior Software Engineer - Ai Product Development

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - AI Product development to join our Cortellis CMC team in Barcelona and help build the next generation of AI-powered solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.In this role, you will design, develop, and operate scalable backend services, data pipelines, and AI-driven capabilities that power regulatory intelligence products used by global life sciences organizations.You will work hands-on with modern AI technologies, distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and large-scale data platforms.You will take technical ownership of critical components, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams across multiple locations to deliver high-impact solutions.About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or Related field.Experience Building and delivering production-grade software, with experience in deploying AI-powered product capabilities5+ years of professional software engineering experience working on backend systems using Type Script, Node.js (Nest.js)5+ years designing and maintaining scalable backend services and RESTful APIs.5+ years working with microservices and distributed architecture.Experience with relational databases such as Postgre SQL and search technologies like Elasticsearch.Hands-on experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred).It would be great if you also have…Experience working with Java in backend environments Experience developing applications with Django What will you be doing in this role?Build and execute Generative and agent-based AI capabilities, including model integration, feature development, and iterative enhancements.Analyze and improve data and retrieval systems that support AI features, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.Design and build integrations of AI capabilities into production services and APIs, ensuring alignment with security and quality standards.Design, develop, and maintain Java backend services and APIs in microservices architecture.Build scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using Type Script and Node Js (Nest.
