Experteer Overview In this Embedded Software Engineer role, you contribute to Verisure’s Central Unit, the core Linux-based embedded system behind monitored alarms.You’ll work on connectivity, security, persistence, and system frameworks to ensure reliable, secure operation across a large IoT fleet.The position sits in a cross-site, agile team in Madrid or Malmö, offering hands-on ownership of complex connectivity areas.This is an opportunity to shape resilient embedded Linux platforms and collaborate with hardware, product, and operations teams for end-to-end system reliability.Compensaciones / Beneficios * Develop and maintain embedded Linux solutions across Wi?Fi, modem, and system connectivity stacks * Design and improve middleware libraries and HAL components for scalable platform services * Implement and harden security capabilities (access control, secure communication) * Build and maintain persistence for configuration, state, and data across reboots/updates * Work with Linux IPC frameworks (D-Bus, DDS) for reliable inter-process communication * Optimize core services like time synchronization, power management, and lifecycle behavior * Debug field issues using logs, telemetry, crash dumps, and data-driven analysis * Collaborate with hardware, operations, product teams, and external vendors to ensure end-to-end reliability Responsabilidades * Embedded Linux development (Yocto-based) * System-level debugging and troubleshooting * C/C++ programming in Linux environments * Scripting and tooling for development/debugging * Proficient English with strong technical communication Requisitos principales * smart hybrid work model * competitive compensation package * high-performance bonus potential * lunch included at canteen * modern offices in Madrid (Pozuelo) * team-building activities
