IT Blue Yonder Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Blue Yonder Functional & Technical Engineer to lead the implementation, configuration, integration, and support of the Blue Yonder Warehouse Management (WMS) solution within a complex manufacturing environment. This role will serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will be responsible for delivering end-to-end WMS capabilities across inbound receiving, inventory movement and storage, manufacturing integration, warehouse work execution, and outbound fulfillment, from requirements gathering through go-live and hypercare support.

The ideal candidate combines manufacturing process knowledge, deep warehouse operations expertise, and hands-on technical implementation experience. The successful candidate will understand that receiving and inbound material flow are as operationally critical as outbound fulfillment and will proactively identify and apply Blue Yonder WMS capabilities that improve safety, inventory accuracy, labor productivity, material flow, and overall warehouse performance.

Key Responsibilities

Blue Yonder Solution Leadership

Serve as the primary Blue Yonder Functional and Technical SME.

Lead implementation and optimization of the Blue Yonder WMS solution across inbound, internal warehouse, manufacturing-support, and outbound processes.

Configure and optimize Blue Yonder WMS capabilities to support receiving, directed put-away, inventory control, work order integration, directed work, replenishment, picking, staging, loading, and outbound fulfillment.

Assess and apply additional Blue Yonder WMS features that can improve receiving throughput, inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, material availability, and operational visibility.

Translate business requirements into scalable system designs and technical solutions.

Continuously evaluate available Blue Yonder WMS features and recommend practical process improvements that strengthen warehouse and manufacturing operations.

Functional Responsibilities

Lead requirements gathering sessions with manufacturing, receiving, warehouse, inventory control, shipping, logistics, and business stakeholders.

Design future-state business processes and workflows.

Create functional specifications and business process documentation.

Support end-user training, testing, and operational readiness activities.

Drive user adoption and change management efforts.

Technical Responsibilities

Configure Blue Yonder WMS functionality across receiving, directed put-away, inventory management, work order integration, directed work, replenishment, picking, staging, loading, and shipping.

Design and support integrations with ERP, MES, transportation, and warehouse systems.

Troubleshoot application, interface, and data issues.

Support system upgrades, enhancements, and production deployments.

Develop technical specifications and support documentation.

Project Delivery

Lead implementation activities through design, build, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

Coordinate efforts between business teams, vendors, system integrators, and IT resources.

Manage testing, defect resolution, deployment planning, and production support.

Provide hands-on support during receiving, warehouse, manufacturing-integration, and outbound operational cutovers.

7+ years of Blue Yonder implementation experience.

Proven experience implementing and configuring Blue Yonder WMS across both inbound and outbound warehouse operations.

Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution environments.

Strong understanding of:

o Inbound receiving, outbound fulfillment, and transportation processes

o Warehouse execution, including directed put-away, directed work, replenishment, picking, staging, and loading

o Manufacturing operations and work order integration

o Inventory management

o Supply chain processes

Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.

Experience leading full lifecycle implementations including:

o Requirements

o Design

o Configuration

o Testing

o Cutover

o Hypercare

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Multiple end-to-end Blue Yonder WMS implementations across receiving, inventory, warehouse execution, manufacturing integration, and outbound fulfillment.

Experience with manufacturing facilities operating in a multi-shift environment.

SAP integration experience.

Experience integrating Blue Yonder with:

o ERP platforms

o MES systems

o Warehouse automation

o Transportation systems

Blue Yonder certifications preferred.

Experience serving as lead consultant or solution architect.
