Director IT - Enterprise Data Architecture & Integration Organization

The firm is continuing to modernize how data moves across the organization and is looking for a senior technical leader who can take ownership of enterprise data architecture, integration strategy, and development standards.

This is not a pure people-management position. The person coming into this role will serve as a true player-coach, setting architectural direction while remaining close enough to the technology to guide design decisions, solve difficult integration problems, and mentor a distributed development team.

You will operate at the intersection of enterprise architecture, data engineering, application development, and integration, helping define how data is modeled, governed, moved, accessed, and consumed across the organization.

The right person will have enough architectural depth to design the future-state environment while also being comfortable leading developers, establishing standards, and working directly with business and technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve the enterprise data architecture strategy across data models, data flows, storage platforms, integrations, and enterprise applications Develop a long-term data architecture roadmap aligned with business and technology priorities Design and oversee ETL/ELT pipelines, real-time integrations, APIs, and system-to-system connectivity Establish standards around data modeling, data lifecycle management, governance, quality, lineage, security, and access Define enterprise integration patterns using REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, event-driven architecture, and related technologies Lead automation initiatives using technologies such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Azure Logic Apps, Python, and PowerShell Own and continue maturing the firm’s Software Development Lifecycle, including testing, documentation, source control, CI/CD, branching, deployment, and release practices Lead and mentor a distributed team of developers while serving as the senior technical escalation point for complex architecture and integration challenges

10+ years of experience across enterprise data architecture, software development, data engineering, or systems integration Demonstrated experience designing enterprise-scale data architecture and integration solutions Strong background in data modeling, database architecture, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT Experience with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, or comparable technologies Hands-on knowledge of API and integration technologies including REST, GraphQL, SOAP, and webhooks Strong understanding of software development practices, SDLC frameworks, GitHub, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management Experience with Microsoft/Azure-oriented technologies such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, PowerShell, or Microsoft Fabric strongly preferred Working knowledge of Python, JSON, Node.js, or comparable development technologies Understanding of enterprise data governance, security, lineage, quality, and regulatory considerations Previous experience leading and mentoring developers or technical teams Ability to work from a company office a minimum of three days per week Current authorization to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship, Application Integration, Application Programming Interface (API), Architectural Services, Automation, Coaching, Continuous Deployment/Delivery, Continuous Integration, Data Management, Data Modeling, DataArchitect Data Modeling Tool, Database Architecture, Database Extract Transform and Load (ETL), Documentation, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Data Integration, GitHub, GraphQL, Information/Data Security (InfoSec), JSON, Leadership, Legal, Management of Information Systems/Technology (MIS), Mentoring, Microsoft Product Family, Microsoft Windows Azure, Node.js, Problem Solving Skills, Professional Services, Python Programming/Scripting Language, REST (Representational State Transfer), Regulations, Release Management/Engineering, SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol), Software Development, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Source Code/Configuration Management (SCM), Standards Strategy, System Integration (SI), Tax Accounting, Technical Leadership, Technical Support, Test Automation, Testing, Windows PowerShell

Salary: $170,000 - $210,000 per year
