AI & Cloud Architecture Architect

AgileSource are urgently seeking a Contract, Technology, AI & Cloud Architecture Specialist for an 11 week initial contract.

We are looking for an experienced Technology, AI & Cloud Architecture Specialist to help define and embed practical technology, AI and cloud standards across a complex architecture environment.

The role will focus on creating the guardrails, standards, approval processes, reference architectures and roadmaps that enable delivery teams to adopt AI, cloud and emerging technologies in a controlled, consistent and scalable way.

You will work across architecture, cyber, data, legal, risk, procurement and delivery teams to ensure technology decisions are aligned with the wider architecture direction while remaining practical for delivery teams to implement., * Define and maintain practical technology, AI and cloud guardrails, standards and reusable architecture patterns.

• Establish clear approaches for how AI tools and AI-enabled use cases are assessed, approved, restricted, reviewed and retired.
• Develop standards and reusable patterns covering technology, cloud and AI adoption.
• Create technology and cloud roadmap views, clearly showing current state, target state, gaps, dependencies and transition steps.
• Maintain architecture guidance covering principles, standards, reusable patterns, decision records and service-map inputs.
• Develop cloud architecture patterns for AI workloads, covering areas such as:Define operational technology standards covering naming, tagging, tooling, monitoring, logging, resilience and recovery.

• Establish a practical approach to identifying, recording and tracking technology and cloud technical debt.
• Ensure technology, AI and cloud guardrails align with application, business, data, infrastructure and security architecture.
• Produce clear reference material and guidance to support technical assurance and architecture reviews.
• Help establish and mature the operating model for technology and AI governance.

We are looking for someone with strong experience across technology architecture, cloud, AI governance and technology standards.

You should have:

• Proven experience defining technology, AI and cloud guardrails, standards and reusable architecture patterns.
• Strong experience with AWS-led cloud architecture, alongside a good awareness of Azure.
• Understanding of the architecture and operational requirements associated with AI workloads.
• Experience creating technology and architecture roadmaps, including current-state, target-state, gap and transition views.
• Experience developing technical debt approaches, architecture decision records and architecture guidance.
• Experience working across multiple architectural disciplines, including cyber/security, data, application, infrastructure and business architecture.
• Experience connecting architecture guardrails into wider risk, legal, procurement, governance and delivery processes.
• Strong understanding of technology governance and assurance within complex organisations.
• Experience working with GitHub, AWS Kiro and the Jira product suite.
• Experience supporting or implementing automation across development, architecture and delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex architecture requirements into practical guidance for delivery teams.
