Python Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer to develop data-driven software and analytical tools. This hands-on role focuses on Python development, numerical data processing, time-series analysis, and collaboration with engineering and research teams.

• Develop and maintain production Python applications and data pipelines
• Use Pandas and NumPy for data processing, analysis, and transformation
• Build ETL workflows for large and complex datasets
• Perform statistical analysis, feature extraction, and exploratory data analysis
• Process time-series and experimental data
• Implement numerical, mathematical, and signal-processing algorithms
• Write maintainable, well-tested, documented code
• Optimize applications for performance and scalability
• Work with software, embedded, and algorithm engineers to move solutions into production

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong Python development skills
• Extensive experience with Pandas and NumPy
• Experience developing production data pipelines
• Strong understanding of software engineering practices, including OOP, testing, Git, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
• Experience with numerical, structured, or time-series data
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred - not required

Preferred

• Experience with SciPy, Matplotlib, Plotly, or scikit-learn
• Knowledge of calculus, linear algebra, statistics, or numerical methods

Comp: $60-77/hr W2 Term: 6 month Contract to Hire ITAR Requirement: This position may involve access to export-controlled technical data. Candidates must meet applicable U.S. Person requirements where required by the position.
