Data Center Technician (L1) Cable Puller x2

Start your data center career in a hands-on role supporting the installation of servers, network equipment, cabling, and rack infrastructure. As a Data Center Technician I, you’ll spend most of your time pulling, routing, labeling, and organizing copper and fiber cabling while also assisting with repeatable deployment tasks such as inventory scanning, component positioning, and basic rack preparation., Exposure to power distribution units, airflow management, or blanking panels What You Will Be Doing Pull, route, dress, label, and organize structured copper and fiber cabling

Prepare racks and assist with installing rails, PDUs, cable management, and equipment

Support rack-and-stack activities for servers, networking equipment, and storage systems

Scan inventory, position components, complete liquid-filling tasks, and perform other repeatable deployment activities

Follow installation procedures, method-of-procedure documents, safety requirements, and quality checklists

Identify and report discrepancies, maintain clean work areas, and help prevent rework Tech Breakdown 40% Structured Cabling and Cable Management

5% Safety and Work Area Maintenance Daily Responsibilities Pull and route copper, fiber, coaxial, and other structured cabling

Label, dress, and secure cables according to installation diagrams

Assist with rack assembly, equipment placement, and basic rack-and-stack activities

Scan inventory and position components for installation

Support airflow, power, and cooling setup tasks under established procedures

Perform quality checks and report installation issues or discrepancies

Maintain organized racks, tools, materials, and work areas

Follow safety procedures and use required protective equipment

This is a great opportunity for someone with structured cabling experience who wants to build a strong foundation in data center operations. You’ll follow clear procedures, learn from experienced technicians, and gain exposure to rack-and-stack work, power connections, airflow management, and advanced cooling systems. A positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are just as important as your technical background., At least 5-6 months of structured cabling experience

Experience running and organizing Cat5, Cat6, coaxial, copper, or similar cabling

Ability to follow technical documentation, diagrams, checklists, and standard procedures

Basic understanding of data center environments, IT hardware, and rack infrastructure

Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing work accurately

Ability to safely perform hands-on installation tasks, including standing, lifting, and working in rack spaces Desired Skills & Experience Data center, central office, telecommunications, or structured cabling experience

Basic rack-and-stack experience with servers, network equipment, or storage systems

Familiarity with cable routing, dressing, labeling, and cable management

Experience using personal or professional crimping tools
