Job description

We are calling on you to help us as Backend Developer, designing and developing our applications. Qualified candidates will be expected to have a working knowledge of Python, Flask, and SQLAlchemy. Your duties will include building the backend interacting with our frontend. You will help transforming the needs of the business into reusable code and building high-quality components with scalability in mind. You will be involved in every step of the process in developing our technology. As Backend Developer you will also be involved in deploying our application, making sure it runs smoothly, and optimizing the database. Design and build applications with python development best practices
Transform designs into backend code with Python, Flask, and SQLAlchemy
Maintain the database and make sure it works smooth and fast

(including but not limited to: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL/MariaDB) * Work with frontend developers to integrate UI components with APIs

Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations
Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code
Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience developing modern applications using Python, Flask, and SQLAlchemy., * Relevant experience in IT industry and financial sector
Experience in Agile projects
Experience in Linux command line
Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes, * Strong communicator and fluent in (spoken and written) English.
Team player
Willingness to learn
A good sense for product development opportunities and up to speed with current trends

Benefits & conditions

Attractive salary (€ 000- €4.500 gross income per month depending on experience), 8% holiday allowance, 30 vacation days
Our office is located in Leusden (cycling distance (4 km) from Amersfoort Station)
Our employees usually work at the office 2 days a week and from home on the other days
