Software Test Engineer

IT Recruitment is looking for her client in Utrecht for a Software Test Engineer. Are you an IT Tester focused on development and would you like to help build and ensure visibility within our beautiful company? Then this job is certainly something for you! You will work in the Software Development team (6-8 people) within our Business Acceleration Center (BAC). A new team with various specialists who serve our European colleagues and customers.

• Testing is an important part of the (software) development process. You organize and control the entire testing process.
• You assess software quality through manual and automated testing and validate the development team’s solution against business requirements.
• You ensure the visibility and traceability of the testing process and you make sure that the testing process across the organization is a core component of our development efforts, and necessary for the delivery of our European technology platform.

Examples of the activities are:

• Setting up and maintaining the test strategy and tests.
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze the results.
• Reporting bugs and doing risk assessments based on the findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Ensuring compliance with governance rules such as SOX, Health & Safety policy.
• You report directly to the Product Owner.

• Because you will help shape the testing process in a structured way, you bring analytical thinking skills.
• You see a challenge in complex problems and enjoy solving them, sometimes under time pressure.
• You have a passion for working with technology.
• At least a completed HBO education in information technology or comparable.
• Relevant work experience as a tester.
• TMAP and/or ISTQB certified.
• Practical knowledge of API testing (Postman is an advantage).
• Practical knowledge of HTML, JSON, XML and Java.
• Good knowledge of the English language.

• A gross monthly salary between € 3,197 and € 4,825 based on 40 hours (depending on work experience and education).
