• You are an experienced Linux specialist with an Internet Service Provider (ISP) background who works professionally, results-oriented, and above all, customer-focused.
• You are not afraid of complex, high-availability network configurations with load balancers, encryption, and layered networks.
• You have experience with various web servers (Apache, NGINX), database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), configuration management (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform), and system performance/tuning of complex environments to achieve an optimal solution for our clients’ applications.
• You will work on the installation, configuration, administration, and tuning of our systems.
• You will use shell scripts or Python code to simplify your tasks and those of your colleagues. You are always open to learning new techniques to improve our clients’ and our own environments.

How your day looks like You are an experienced Linux specialist with an Internet Service Provider (ISP) background who works professionally, results-oriented, and above all, customer-focused. You are not intimidated by complex, high-availability network configurations with load balancers, encryption, and layered networks. You have experience with various web servers (Apache, NGINX), database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), configuration management (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform), and system performance/tuning of complex environments to deliver the optimal solution for our customers’ applications. You work on the installation, configuration, management, and tuning of our systems. You use shell scripts or Python code to make your tasks and those of your colleagues easier. You are always open to learning new technologies to improve both our customer and in-house environments. Together with your colleagues, you work toward maximum availability of complex, dynamic business systems and the structural resolution of disruptions. To make this possible, you are aware of the importance of standardizing, documenting, and optimizing processes and procedures. In addition, you provide support and play a major advisory role in technical implementations. You can communicate at various levels-from architect to end user.

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO) working and thinking level with 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience as a Linux engineer.
• Knowledge and experience in the ISP world is a plus.
• Good communication skills, both by phone and in writing.
• A good command English is important for our clients. Dutch is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, IPv6, load balancing, firewall, switching)
• Experience with scripting (Shell, Python)
• Experience with management tools such as Puppet or Salt
• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus; Experience with high-availability solutions (MySQL clustering, HAProxy, etc.).
