Job description

We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer who can combine strong visual design with thoughtful, intuitive interactions to make our games look better and feel better to play. About the Role You’ll design the interfaces players use throughout our games - from their first onboarding experience to everyday interactions with menus, inventories, progression systems, and gameplay HUDs.

Working closely with our developers and game designers, you’ll take features from initial user flows and wireframes to polished designs and implementation-ready assets. You should be comfortable thinking through how an interface works, not just how it looks. A major plus if you are familiar with importing assets to Roblox studio. What You’ll Do

  • Design polished game interfaces. Create menus, HUDs, inventories, shops, progression screens, and other UI elements that fit each game’s visual identity.
  • Make player interactions intuitive. Develop user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes that simplify navigation, communicate gameplay systems, and help players understand what to do next.
  • Design across devices and input methods. Adapt layouts for mobile, desktop, and supported console experiences, considering readability, touch targets, controller navigation, and accessibility.
  • Build consistent, reusable UI systems. Create components, icons, visual guidelines, and interaction states that keep interfaces cohesive as our games expand.
  • Collaborate through implementation. Provide organized design files, exported assets, and clear specifications. Work with developers to review the in-game result and resolve visual or usability issues. Big plus if you are able to import
  • Iterate with the team and our players. Use playtests, player feedback, and available data to improve existing interfaces. Plan and deliver design work alongside our two-week update cycles., * Update your CV if needed, proofread, and fix any errors.
  • Make sure your CV reflects and highlights the main skills required for the job.
  • Take some time to research the company, try to understand their kind of games and work culture.
  • Write a cover letter. This is your chance to draw their attention. Show why you’re a good candidate, and you can show you have researched their company and why you’re interested in applying.
  • Make sure to include your portfolio link if you have one. Any open source projects might be of great value as well. If you don’t have a portfolio, you should consider making one in the future.

Requirements

A portfolio demonstrating strong visual design and thoughtful UX, ideally through games or other interactive products. We want to see your design decisions and problem-solving, alongside the finished screens. Proficiency in Figma or comparable interface-design and prototyping tools, with the ability to create production-ready assets using tools such as Photoshop or Illustrator. Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, color, iconography, and visual hierarchy, along with an understanding of responsive design and interaction patterns. The ability to take a feature from a brief to a finished design, explain your decisions, collaborate with developers, and respond constructively to feedback. Reliable communication, organized working files, and the ability to manage priorities across multiple features or projects. Preferred, Not Required Familiarity with Roblox Studio and its UI tools, or experience bringing interface designs into Roblox Studio. Experience designing for Roblox, mobile games, or games with frequent content updates. Skills in UI animation, motion design, illustration, or creating custom game iconography.
