Full Stack Engineer (Typescript / React)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior/Staff TypeScript Engineer based in Spain. This role offers the opportunity to build an enterprise-grade AI platform at an early-stage, highly AI-native company. You’ll take meaningful ownership of architecture, implementation, integrations, and production delivery across a modern TypeScript stack. The position is strongly backend-focused while offering opportunities to contribute across the full stack. You’ll work directly with enterprise customers, translating complex workflows and requirements into practical, scalable product capabilities. The environment combines serverless AWS architecture, event-driven systems, infrastructure as code, and AI-assisted development. You’ll have significant influence over engineering practices, technical direction, and the evolution of the product as the team grows. It’s an ideal environment for a senior engineer who values autonomy, product judgment, customer impact, and hands-on technical ownership. Accountabilities:

• Design, build, test, and ship production features across a modern TypeScript-based technology stack.
• Own backend services, APIs, integrations, data flows, and serverless infrastructure, with a strong focus on reliability and maintainability.
• Contribute to frontend development when required, using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and related modern web technologies.
• Design and operate scalable, serverless, event-driven systems on AWS.
• Build and maintain integrations with enterprise systems, contract platforms, communication tools, and third-party APIs.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code workflows and contribute to the ongoing evolution of cloud architecture.
• Work directly with enterprise customers and stakeholders to understand workflows, technical requirements, and business needs.
• Translate ambiguous customer requirements into well-scoped, maintainable, and valuable product capabilities.
• Communicate technical tradeoffs clearly and challenge requirements constructively when alternative approaches would deliver better outcomes.
• Use AI coding agents extensively to accelerate development, break work into parallel streams, and increase engineering productivity.
• Critically review, test, debug, and refine AI-generated code, maintaining full ownership of the quality, security, correctness, and maintainability of the final implementation.
• Establish and maintain strong engineering standards around testing, code quality, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Identify opportunities beyond immediate customer requirements and turn emerging needs into valuable product improvements.
• Contribute to technical strategy, architecture decisions, engineering processes, and practices as the organization scales.
• Take ownership of significant projects and deliverables from initial definition through production deployment and iteration.

• Senior or Staff-level professional software engineering experience, preferably within a product-focused SaaS or technology environment.
• Deep professional experience with TypeScript and strong backend engineering expertise.
• Extensive experience with Node.js, Bun, or comparable JavaScript/TypeScript runtimes.
• Ability to contribute across the full stack, including modern React and/or Next.js applications.
• Proven experience building and operating production systems on AWS.
• Strong understanding of serverless and event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and scalable backend workflows.
• Experience designing and maintaining APIs, integrations, asynchronous workflows, and third-party system connections.
• Practical experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database technology.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices and tools such as SST, Pulumi, or comparable technologies.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to turn ambiguous customer or business needs into well-defined, maintainable solutions.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers, technical stakeholders, or non-technical business users.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and tradeoffs clearly.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of ownership over projects and outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience using advanced AI coding tools or coding agents as a meaningful part of daily software development.
• Ability to critically assess AI-generated implementations, identify subtle technical issues, and take responsibility for the final quality of the code.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including testing, debugging, security, reliability, maintainability, and production operations.
• Previous experience as a founding engineer or early-stage startup engineer is an advantage.
• Experience in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, implementation, or technical consulting is a plus.
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as SAP, NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, Microsoft 365, Slack, or contract lifecycle management systems is valuable.
• Experience building enterprise AI products, workflow automation platforms, or AI-enabled SaaS products is advantageous.
• Familiarity with coordinating multiple AI coding agents or parallel AI-assisted development workflows is a strong advantage.
• Public projects, open-source contributions, or code samples demonstrating strong engineering practices are welcome.
• Ability to bring structure, technical maturity, and effective engineering practices to a small and rapidly growing team.

• Competitive annual compensation targeting approximately USD $100,000-$140,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates up to approximately $200,000.
