Software Developer

1. Lead the support and maintenance for company desktop and mobile websites: SheaHomes.com, TrilogyLife.com, m.SheaHomes.com, m.TrilogyLife.com and SheaApartments.com (along with a few other corporate sites).
2. Provide technical guidance and oversight on corporate intranet migration to Microsoft SharePoint 2016 and implement Intranet based applications using SharePoint forms/flow, Office 365 tools (Forms & PowerApps) and K2 forms/workflow.
3. Develop and maintain ASP.Net applications used by Shea Homes design studios. A key responsibility is to effectively collaborate and communicate with peers on the Customer Facing application team during new development project and on-going production system support. Help introduce industry standards and best practices to the web team and champion team member cross training on various web based applications the team supports. Our ideal candidate is independent and proactive - one who uses experience and current learnings to recommend business process and technology optimizations. • Design and develop feature enhancements and bug fixes for SheaHomes.com, TrilogyLife.com, m.SheaHomes.com, m.TrilogyLife.com, SheaApartments.com and other ASP.Net web applications

• Lead research effort to integrate 3^rd party applications, such as Pardot, to the existing websites

• Serve as solution architect on the SharePoint 2016 migration project and work with key department heads to plan out migration plans for their respective content

• Proactively assist project manager with project planning and sprint ceremonies

• Actively involved in the development and code review process of the website redesign project

• Ensure the new website effectively utilizes Single Page Application approach to optimize page performance, allow for more robust front-end unit testing and increase code maintainability

• Monitors work efforts on a daily basis and escalates issues appropriately.

• Identifies opportunities to optimize business and technology processes

• Provide guidance on how to further improve continuous integration across various server environments

• When needed, facilitate daily stand-ups, weekly planning meetings, and retrospectives with the team

• Help implement automation testing through Selenium

• Ensures that change management policies and standards are followed.

• Ability to update content and troubleshoot issues with Kentico content management system

• Recommend business process, content, technology, website optimizations to the team

• Collaborate with supplier and infrastructure teams to resolve outages, ensure root cause analysis is performed, and remediations implemented to prevent from reoccurring, The associate frequently is required to drive between office and community locations. The associate is required to maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance that comply with state law.

• Bachelor’s degree or Masters degree in Computer Science, MIS or related fields
• 8 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise level N-tier web applications optimized for performance, scalability and security
• 5 years of experience in SEO and common web analytics frameworks, such as GTM, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Test&Target or AdWords
• 5 years of experience in hands-on coding in Angular, JQuery, ReactJS, TypeScript, Ajax, PHP, HTML5, ASP.Net, C#, MVC.Net, Zurb Foundation or Bootstrap, XML and JSON
• 3 years of experience in coding against common DBMS, such as Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL or No SQL(MongoDB, Hadoop, DynamoDB)
• 3 years of experience in client-server technologies, such as WCF, .Net Remoting, Restful API, NodeJS
• Deep domain knowledge in common design patterns, such as MVC, dependency injection, OOO, class factory and Singleton
• Prior experience in application development and deployment in a cloud environment, such as Azure, AWS or Google AppEngine
• Prior experience in integrating web applications with Content Management Systems, such as WordPress, Kentico or FireBase
• Prior experience in integrating with 3^rd party applications, such as Salesforce, ExactTarget, Pardot, Google API, Active Directory, social media sites, SSO
• Prior experience in security programming to prevent common hacking methods, such as SQL Injection, Cross Site Scripting or DDoS
• Prior experience in home building industry helpful, but not required, * Deep domain knowledge of all aspects of an enterprise level Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - project planning, requirement gathering, dependency analysis, development execution, regression testing, UAT testing, load/performance/security testing, environment setup, continuous integration, content management and post launch warranty
• Strong working experience using Agile tools, such as JIRA/Rally/TFS/JAMA to track scope, sprints, releases; create dashboards and boards to clearly communicate status; ability to run custom JIRA queries to analyze product backlog health, maintain sound epic/story structure and import/export data for 3^rd party application integration (such as Jama and Selenium)
• Working knowledge of code management through Team Foundation Server (TFS)/VSTS/Git, application code/content deployment, continuous integration through TeamCity, automation testing, test case lifecycle management and infrastructure planning
• Ability to multi-task easily across multiple projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, * Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and screen-capturing tools (i.e. SnagIt)
• Experience with Cherwell Service Management application and Adobe Photoshop nice to have
• Experience with BizTalk, MSMQ or enterprise message bus
• Experience with Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP (LAMP) and CodeFusion
