• Design, develop, and maintain applications and services using Java and cloud-based technologies.
• Build and support REST APIs and backend services that enable critical business functionality.
• Develop solutions that support fleet utilization, inventory optimization, and operational decision-making.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Utilize modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted development platforms such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor, to improve development velocity
• Design, implement and maintain applications that can be high-volume and low-latency
• Contribute to all stages of software development lifecycle
• Analyze user requirements to define business objectives

• Identify and resolve any technical issues arising
• Create detailed design documentation
• Propose changes to current infrastructure
• Develop technical designs for application development
• Write well designed, testable code
• Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging
• Support continuous improvement, investigating alternatives and technologies, and presenting for architectural review, Leads complex, multi-workstream product initiatives as a principal Product Owner. Owns product vision, strategy, backlog integrity, prioritization, and Scrum team alignment. Coordinates Product, Engineering, Design, Delivery, and other stakeholders; improves execution discipline, transparency, and outcome tracking. Stabilizes programs with fragmented ownership or elevated delivery risk while ensuring customer and business requirements are addressed. Requires substantial Product Owner or Senior Product Manager experience, preferably in payments or financial services., Leads revenue recognition, billing, accounts receivable, collections, audit readiness, and financial controls. Owns ASC 606 compliance, billing systems, process automation, AI-enabled accounting improvements, reporting, and cross-functional alignment. Manages and mentors the accounting team while supporting scalable revenue operations and public-company readiness. • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages and common data structures / algorithms
• 2+ years of software engineering experience developing backend applications or services.
• Experience with Java or another modern object-oriented programming language.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience working within cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development practices.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented design, and system architecture.
• Ability to write production-ready code with moderate supervision
• Ability to design systems of moderate complexity
• Ability to conduct code reviews and give sign-off for code merges
• Strong communication skills. You must be able to work with cross-functional partners to gather requirements and explain outcomes
• Strong product sense. You must be able to align your work with business objectives and make appropriate tradeoffs
• Learning mentality. You must be able to pick up new skills as needed and demonstrate a curiosity about new technologies, Leads revenue recognition, billing, accounts receivable, collections, audit readiness, and financial control operations. Ensures ASC 606 and GAAP compliance, manages billing platforms and ERP integrations, drives automation and AI adoption, develops scalable processes, partners cross-functionally, reports financial metrics, and supervises accounting staff. Requires extensive revenue accounting and billing experience in SaaS or software, management expertise, and strong technical accounting knowledge. The starting salary is $100,000; actual salary will be determined based on relevant work experience
