Join our first-class team to reinvent in-flight experience. In the role of Software Engineer II, AI you’ll play a pivotal part on our engineering team. The Software Engineer II, AI (Artificial intelligence) will be responsible and assist senior engineers in the designing, building, and deploying machine learning (ML) models and AI solutions. They work closely with data scientists and senior software engineers to integrate ML models into production environments, ensuring productivity and efficiency in machine learning projects.

This position contributes to our vision by:

• Model Development: Researching, developing, and implementing ML algorithms and models and AI Solutions.

• System Design and Implementation: Designing and building scalable ML systems and AI solutions.

• Model Evaluation and Optimization: Running experiments, testing AI systems, and performing statistical analyses to improve model accuracy.

• Data Pipeline Management: Managing data pipelines and ensuring data quality.

• Collaboration: Collaborating with data scientists, product owners, and stakeholders to manage the model development pipeline.

• Continuous Improvement: Advocating for machine learning best practices and continuous improvement.

• Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting and addressing problems with deployed AI systems.

• Documentation: Documenting all steps in the development process.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in computer or software engineering from a recognized ABET accredited institution or equivalent

• 0 - 1 years of software intern experience with a desire for AI software systems

Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to move around the office.

Work Environment - The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.

Travel - Periodical travel is minimal and may be 3-5 days per quarter.

Competencies

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

• Programming Languages: Python, Java, C/C++, R

• Experience with machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and computer vision

• Machine Learning Frameworks: TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, PyTorch

• Data Analysis: Statistical analysis, data visualization.

• Software Engineering: Software engineering principles, experience with deployment.

• Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms.

• Databases: Experience with databases and data stores.

• Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate with other team members.

• Interpersonal Skills - Possess a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Ability to communicate and ability to work in a team environment. Remains open to others’ ideas and tries new things.

The expected salary range for this position is between $94,230 - $148,070 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
